Oenorama 2026 - Greece’s Largest Wine Exhibition

Get ready, wine lovers! Oenorama, Greece's absolute biggest and the world's No. 1 Greek wine celebration, is back and better than ever! Kicking off in Athens back in '94, this legendary event pulls in around 10,000 global wine enthusiasts and pros every single year.

This year, prepare for an epic weekend bash: March 13th-16th, 2026. The stunning, historic "Zappeion Megaron" right in the heart of Athens is the spot. You'll dive into an ocean of flavor with over 250 exhibitors, more than 2,500 different wines (Greek and international!), and nearly 100 Greek spirits. It's the ultimate Greek wine adventure and your all-access pass to the entire industry!

Oenorama’s journey began in 1994, launched by the event company Vinetum. In its early years, it was a traditional trade show often held outside the city center, where heavy machinery and vineyard supplies shared half the floor space with wine bottles.

The event’s trajectory changed in 2013 when organizers merged it with the "Dionysia" wine festival and moved to its permanent home at the Zappeion Megaron. This shift transformed Oenorama into a central cultural pillar, now attracting roughly 10,000 visitors annually, ranging from curious enthusiasts to top international buyers from the United States and beyond.

This year’s event features a massive lineup of over 250 exhibitors showcasing more than 2,500 wines and nearly 100 Greek distillates. Attendees can explore several specialized zones:

The Assyrtiko Wine Bar: A brand-new dedicated space for exploring the diverse expressions of Greece's flagship white grape, from volcanic Santorini to the mainland.

Wine Revelations Hall: This "show-within-a-show" features over 30 obscure or debut wineries with tiny productions, helping tasters discover the industry’s "stars of tomorrow".

The Wine Tasting Gallery: A self-pour area focused on Value Wines (priced under €10) and the latest 2024–2025 releases.

Oyster Bar: For a culinary twist, French chef Dominique Perrot returns to pair fresh oysters with crisp Greek whites.

While industry giants like Boutari, Kir-Yianni, and Alpha Estate continue to anchor the show, 2026 is also about artisanal and emerging producers.

Watch for: Indigenous grapes like the aromatic Malagousia, the "chameleon" Moschofilero, and the complex red Xinomavro.

Look out for: Small-scale participants such as Baptistis Winery and others from the Artisanal Greek Wineries collective, who represent the cutting edge of small-batch, terroir-driven production.

Oenorama 2026 isn't just a tasting; it’s a testament to the surging global popularity of Greek viticulture.  For those attending this world class event, stin ygeia sas!
